THE MAJOR GOAL OF OUR PROGRAM IS TO PRODUCE BULLS THAT EXCEL IN A MULTITUDE OF TRAITS.

Lyncoranne's bull production program focuses on breeding bulls with leading EVB carcase traits, which are relative to the commercial producer. We meticulously select our sire's phenotype and genetics to advance and excel our herd's breeding program's direction and ultimately that of our our buyer's herds.
To guarantee the continuation of a 'line' of cattle, new genetics introduced into our bull breeding program must fit a strict set of criteria. This consistency of type in our herd enables us to produce an even line of bulls, giving buyers the confidence to select a quality young sire from our paddock sale offerings.

The major goal of our program is to produce bulls that excel in a multitude of traits, with the aim of producing long-bodied, well muscled bulls, deep and thick in structural soundness.

Soundness of body type, we believe is paramount when selecting a bull. Consequently, during bull inspections we encourage buyers to focus firstly on phenotype before evaluating their selected bull's Breedplan figures.

We are not interested in breeding 'extreme bulls', instead selecting genetics to breed different bull types for various breeds and environments. Enabling producers the opportunity to either supply into the domestic and feedlot markets or take their yearlings onto the bullock market.

A true testament of our Lycoranne Angus herd's beeding genetic performance, is the success that our commercial breeder buyers have achieved using our bulls, particularly evident in the local district 'weaner' sales and domestic butcher trade.
