OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVEIS TO BREED AND

PRODUCE 'ECO-FRIENDLY' PREMIUM

BEEF HOLISTICALLY.

We are Lynton and Di Pratt owner/operators of Lyncoranne Angus/Ultrablacks. Since the early 1990's we have been breeding commercial and stud Angus and Ultrablack cattle at 'Tumbeelluwa', our 1100 acre property, situated in the scenic foothills of the Cambridge Plateau, Northern New South Wales.

Very early in our farming careers we decided to steer away from the traditional farming methods, focusing our energies on implementing the valuable knowledge we attained from completing our TAFE 'Advanced Diploma's of Agriculture and Agibusiness', 'UNE Feeder Steer School',  ‘Agricultural Information Monitoring Services’ (AIMS), ‘Master Tree Grower’, TAFE 'Biological Farming' , 'Holistic Grazing Management' courses and attending numerous industry workshops. Recently we graduated from the 'Accounting for Nature Accredited Expert v3.0' course.

The decision to initially breed Angus and Brangus came about from our meticulous scrutiny of Angus and Brangus Society information, industry feedback, the breed’s increased market demand and progeny price resilience; increased efficiency of production; their adaptability to our environment and the general optimism regarding breeding such cattle.

Our primary objective is to breed and produce grass fed 'eco-friendly' premium beef holistically, with minimal impact on the environment and the wider community. The driving force behind our livestock and property management methods is our commitment to a unified synergy between cattle breeding and Biological/Holistic and Regenerative Farming practices.

Central to our whole farm productivity initiative is our determination to successfully produce premium products, whether it be livestock or timber with minimal impact (footprint) on our land's ecosystems, our native forests and our environment in general. Consequently reducing our livestock's greenhouse emissions and ultimately increasing our property's pasture soil and native forest's carbon sequestration levels.

After many years working in radio/television, marketing, retail/sales, finance and building/interior design industries, we realised it was time for a radical lifestyle rethink which led us to venture into the cattle industry,

settling in the Far North Coast’s scenic rural district of Mummulgum.
